A complete digital banking ecosystem

FinanceFlow is an internal mobile banking platform developed for a European fintech startup. The product combined native iOS and Android applications, web interfaces, financial integrations, operational tools and a microservices backend. The challenge was to bring everyday banking, security and internal control into one consistent platform.

From customer applications to internal operations

Sparkler Soft delivered product concept and UX/UI design, native mobile applications, backend development, a web interface and administration panel, cloud infrastructure, DevOps and monitoring. Customer-facing applications and internal tools shared a foundation for financial operations and product growth.

Payments, cards, refunds and disputes

The platform supported account balances, card management, payments and transfers, transaction history, statements and financial analytics. Refunds remained linked to their original operations, while dispute workflows supported reasons, additional information, status tracking and final decisions. Push notifications covered financial operations and security events.

Authentication and operational security

OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect supported authentication, alongside biometric access, secure sessions and transaction confirmation. Device controls, access management, secrets management and anti-fraud workflows supported internal security processes and suspicious-activity monitoring.

Microservices and event-driven architecture

Independent services separated financial domains and supported asynchronous processing through Apache Kafka. The integration layer used REST, GraphQL and selected gRPC communication. PostgreSQL, ClickHouse and BigQuery supported data and analytics; AWS, Kubernetes, Istio and Terraform formed the infrastructure layer, with HashiCorp Vault for secrets management.

A foundation for product growth

The product served approximately 15,000–20,000 users. It brought customer applications, financial workflows, internal administration and monitoring into one ecosystem. Financial partners, transaction volumes, revenue, risk models and detailed operational metrics remain confidential under NDA.

I had worked with Sparkler Soft before, so when I launched my own payment cards app, I knew I could trust them with the project. Serg, the CEO, and the team did a great job with backend payment integrations, code review, security review, reports, and analysis. They were skilled, professional, and easy to work with from start to finish. Everything was delivered well, and the communication was always clear and at a very high level. I’d definitely recommend Serg and Sparkler Soft to anyone looking for a reliable tech team.
